Hello Forum!

I'm new here, but I've been dealing with aircooled VWs for more than 25 years.
At the moment I own a VW T3 (ex-Dutch Army) which unfrotunately is not aircooled.
Last year I bought a VW T2 (ex-Dutch PTT Post) from Greece.

T2 has been sitting under a bush for 20 years and I'm trying to get it back to working order.
For now it is equipped with 1600 46PS AF engine.
I would like the body to remain with the original painting and patina.

Good luck and fun with the restoration and "revival"
so that the bus will be soon back on the road.
What model year is the vehicle?
(third number of the VIN)

Here's the m-plate:
m-plate.jpg

So it's LHD delivery van from 1978 in "special color" (red with white roof) for The Netherlands Post.
It was equipped with AS engine.
- No logo on the front.
- Side flashing indicators
- Dual-brake circuit and handbrake control light.
- Brake servo.
- Ventilation windows in cabin doors.
- Convex rear-view mirror on right side.
- Without chassis identification plate.

Yes, it's a matter of fact and after that, only a moderator like me can do it.
