HAHA! Bigbug, your English is better than most Americans from the looks of it. =) Thank you very much for the kind wishes. This is the hardest thing me and my little band of friends have ever attempted to accomplish but I would not be doing anything else right now. It really is a blast!
FW177, we drove an entire circuit of California (with a quick stop in Las Vegas), visiting all of what we consider to be our favorite places along the way. We actually drove the bus for 2,500 of the 3,000 miles too by the way. The only time we towed her was when we needed to let some drivers rest along the lonely flat stretches. My most proud moment was when she made it all the way up and down the length of 10,000 foot Tioga pass. She lost oxygen at the very tippy top when the engine idled to go downhill but we just roll started her a mile or so down and off she went!
It was an amazing road trip that I hope to take again one day when I am not trying drive it in less than two weeks and film a movie as well. If any of you get the chance to visit this part of the globe, make it a point to go see Yosemite and drive Tioga Pass to Highway 395 and then down the back side of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Perhaps the most beautiful stretch of highway that I have ever been on and most Californians have not seen it themselves. The other area that I would suggest is Highway 1 heading north from San Francisco. Very beautiful. No better way to see it all than through the curved windows of an old Bay Window bus in my opinion.
Cheers all!!!
